Shadowcliff: General Information
Open Memorial Day through September, Shadowcliff is an ideal destination for non-profits and other groups, retreats, seminars and workshops, individual vacations, family reunions or hostelers.
Located in Grand Lake, Colorado, Shadowcliff borders Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapaho Forest, Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and the roaring North Inlet Stream. Perched on a cliff overlooking Grand Lake Village and the Colorado "Great Lakes" area, Shadowcliff guests are treated to the magnificent grandeur of the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains. A view up the North Inlet Stream reveals the beauty of the high peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Facilities
Rempel Lodge - Spacious lounge, fireplace, library, dining area, kitchen, shared baths, private guest rooms and hostel dorm rooms.
- Hideaway Apartment - A private apartment in Rempel Lodge with a separate entrance, fireplace, queen bed and private bath.
- Cliffside Lodge - Fireplace, lounge, dining room, kitchen, shared baths, private guest rooms, for groups of up to 32 people.
- Cabins - Two cabins are nestled in the woods overlooking the North Inlet Stream and are available for family gatherings.
- Meeting Facility - A rustic log building built as a chapel is located on Shadowcliff Point with wrap-around windows overlooking the lakes. Features a large stone fireplace and welcoming atmosphere suitable for a gathering of up to 70 persons.
- Hostel Dorms - Men's and women's dorm-style rooms are available with full use of guest kitchen and amenities of Rempel Lodge.
Programs
Our regular weekly schedule includes nature and conservation lectures, interpretive hikes and visits from Rocky Mountain National Park rangers and naturalists.
Shadowcliff also offers special educational workshops and conferences, some of which are available to the general public. Find out about The Sustainability Series for 2010 and other workshop offerings.
Food Service
Family style meals are available for groups at a reasonable cost. A vegetarian option is always available. Group cookouts and box lunches for hikes or mountain excursions can be arranged. We emphasize healthy meals and locally grown produce when available.
Mountain Attractions
Hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, golfing, rafting, live summer theater, miniature golf, shopping, and more.
Rates
Rates range from $23 (hostel) to $500 (Cliffside Lodge). Group rates are available with and without food service. Affordable rates at Shadowcliff are made possible by charitable contributions and participation by each visitor helping to straighten and sweep their room before departure. Groups are asked to assist by setting tables and helping with meal cleanup.
