Shadowcliff Reservations 2010

Groups: We are currently accepting group reservations for both lodges for 2010. Friends of Shadowcliff group members may also reserve for 2011 subject to the Board’s review of the price structure and any policy changes that may impact those reservations. The Board will finalize rate decisions for in November or December of each year for the following season. Non-Friends of Shadowcliff members may make group reservations for 2011 after October 1, 2010 also subject to the December board decisions establishing rates.

Individuals: Individual reservations for 2010 for rooms in Rempel Lodge, Cliffside Lodge or the hostel space are accepted after January 1, 2010. This gives us the opportunity to first work with our groups and educational workshops to coordinate their schedules and still maximize individual requests.

Cabins: The lower/ground level of Fireside Cabin is about 500 square feet, includes a ¾ bath, queen bed, a queen sleeper couch, a small sink, microwave and mini-fridge. It has a private entrance and a great outdoor deck with wonderful views. The upper level (first floor and loft) of Fireside offers a queen bed, a double bed, a single bunk and a queen sleeper couch, a full kitchen, 1½ baths, a fireplace and a side deck overlooking the North Inlet Stream. The Upper level and loft may rent as one unit and the ground floor level as another. However, priority is given to requests for rental of the entire cabin.

Riverbend Cabin has two double beds, two twin size loft spaces, a small ¾ bath, kitchen, fireplace and beautiful deck overlooking the meadow and the North Inlet Stream.

All cabin rentals require a seven night minimum and start on a Saturday. We think you will find that Shadowcliff still offers the best cabin value and setting in Grand Lake. As you may recall from previous years, in 2001 the Shadowcliff Board adopted the following guidelines to permit more guests to enjoy the cabins.

1. Category One: Friends of Shadowcliff Members may request cabin reservations for 2010 beginning August 1 2009. FOS preferences will be honored on a first-come first-served basis within the discretion of the resident directors.
2. Category Two: Reservations for 2010 cabins were opened to the general public starting October 1, 2009. 

Although the Hideaway Apartment is now open to the public for reservations.. Hideaway Apartment (situated in Rempel Lodge) has a private outside entrance, a queen size bed, fireplace and private shower. Its nightly rental rate for 2010 is  $80 per night with a three night minimum.

If you are not yet a Friends of Shadowcliff member and desire to join us, submit both the cabin request form and your appropriate Friends of Shadowcliff Membership contribution and application (link below). Cabin requests received any time prior to August 11, whether by email, U.S. mail or fax will all be treated as being received on the same day and priorities will be determined on a lottery basis. You will be notified of the status of your request by September 1, 2010. No deposit is required with the submission of the request form.
