Re-visioning the Journey: A Leader's Workshop

Ever wonder what it would be like to spend 3 1/2 days in the presence of other thought leaders with the challenge of actually re-visioning our collective journey? August 14-18 at Shadowcliff offers just such an experience. Join Bob Berkebile, FAIA winner of a 2010 Heinz National Award, founding partner of BNIM Architects the 2011 AIA National Firm of the Year, inspirational speaker, idea generator and passionate advocate of new ways to design communities that work for people, planet and our prosperity as a species. This is a time of applied learning, collaboration, creativity and reflection where each invited participant has a unique role to play in creating the next steps on the journey.

Josie Plaut and Brian Dunbar of the Institute for the Built Environment will introduce the LENSES Framework which they and many others have been developing for the last several years as a tool to shift mindsets toward regenerative thinking and action. LENSES provides a visual model that helps people see interconnections and envision beneficial, regenerative ideas and potential solutions. The framework was developed by a network of scientists, economists, built environment professionals, students and community leaders. This workshop is an opportunity to both experience the LENSES Framework and to contribute to its clarity and prospective uses.

All Shadowcliff Sustainability Series Workshops are enhanced by the leadership of Bob Mann, Shadowcliff's co-director. Bob has facilitated over forty multi-day Sustainability Series Workshops teaching the principles of sustainability and guiding participants from principle to strategic planning and action steps in their own communities and workplaces.

This workshop is by invitation of one of the presenters and is limited to twenty-five participants. It is a unique opportunity to establish deeper dialogue and to experience a regenerative and collaborative design process while learning new leadership skills and sharing yours with other participants.
